Ahmad Dixon, senior Safety and one of the leaders of the team was arrested on charges of misdemeanor assault, according to KWTX in Waco. Here's a link to the full article, coupled with the full text:
WACO (September 27, 2013)—Standout Baylor defensive back Ahmad Dixon was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with a misdemeanor assault.
Dixon posted a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and was released from custody Thursday afternoon.
A warrant issued for his arrest says Dixon assaulted a 21-year-old man back on Sept. 16 after Dixon believed the victim had broken into his home.
The victim did not require hospitalization but did suffer injuries to his face, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.
The assault happened on the night of September 16 at a residence in the 2800 block of South University Parks Drive, Swanton said.
If that is the extent of the man's injuries and if he did in fact break into Dixon's home, there's very little to this story at all. We'll keep you posted with updates and developments.
Statement from @BUFootball on Ahmad Dixon arrest, "We're aware of the situation and it will be handled internally as is our practice."
