Poll Position: Baylor jumps Ohio State in AP, Stays #4 in Coaches

In case you've been living under a twitter-less rock this morning, you may not know that the Bears jumped Ohio State this morning in the AP Poll for the #3 spot. We also gained just a little ground on #4 in the Coaches.

Just as a reminder: the Coaches Poll is the one that matters for the BCS Rankings, along with the Harris.  So jumping up in the AP doesn't really help us.  It did, however, make Ohio State fans unspeakably angry on twitter.

Week 12 AP Poll:

Others Receiving Votes: Minnesota 77, Notre Dame 11, Texas 10, Georgia 5, Nebraska 1, Cincinnati 1

4 unbeatens at the top followed by a slew of 1-loss teams.  I'm a bit surprised to see Texas A&M end up above Stanford, but I don't think it's wrong by any stretch.

As for the BCS Components, all we have so far is Sagarin's computer rankings, where Baylor is again ranked 4th behind Florida State, Alabama, and ... Northern Illinois?

Good to see Oklahoma State jump to 9 in the Coaches Poll.  That should be a top-10 matchup now.

ALSO, SINCE WE GET THIS EVERY WEEK -- The Hi/Lo column is for the entire season.  Baylor was unranked at one point this season.  They are not now.

Just taking a pulse here -- Should I post some of the more hilarious OSU fan tweets about Baylor passing them?  There are so many...
