The Baylor Bears will be a 3 seed in the 2015 NCAA Tournament!
BREAKING: Baylor is 3 seed in West, headed to Jacksonville to face Georgia State on Thursday. #SicMarch
— Baylor Basketball (@BaylorMBB) March 15, 2015
Their first round matchup will be against Georgia State, who won their auto-bid out of the Sun Belt Conference with a 38-36 win over Georgia Southern. Georgia State features Kevin Ware, Ryan Harrow, and RJ Hunter. There's some talent on the roster. Baylor can't afford to overlook them.
Baylor could face Xavier in the next round, which would be a rematch from the 2012 Tournament, if memory serves.
The #1 seed in Baylor's region will be the Wisconsin Badgers. They're an impressive team lead by Frank Kaminsky. Baylor fans might remember watching the Badgers thrash the Bears in the Sweet Sixteen in last year's Tournament. Bo Ryan's squad is tough minded and skilled. They'll have a good chance to make a Final Four run out of this region.
Arizona, who probably should have been a #1 seed, will give Wisconsin a run for their money, though. They ran through the Pac 12 Tournament and easily won the championship game against the Oregon Ducks.
North Carolina, Arkansas, and VCU are also tough teams who could make a stir in the region.
Are you happy with the draw? Upset? Let's hear it in the comments!
