Well, it was only a matter of time, in all likelihood, before we saw one of our major men's sports schedule the Aggies once again. That time has apparently come. CBS Sports is reporting that Baylor and Texas A&M have agreed to a home-and-home series in men's basketball to start this year in Waco, before a return trip to College Station next season. This will be the first contest between the two schools in football or men's basketball since Baylor's 63-60 win in College Station on February 1, 2012. The tweet:
Baylor + Texas A & M will begin a home + home series on 12/9/14 in Waco, source told @CBSSports. Return game in College Station in 15-16.

This news has caused a bit of an uproar in the twitterverse, both from people just excited to see the teams playing again in anything and others who somehow believed we might schedule a 13th regular season football game for Tuesday, December 9. This will be an interesting story to follow to see if playing again in basketball increases the chance that we might play again in something else. I can imagine both schools looking at something like this as a bit of an experiment; if all goes well in the December MBB game in Waco, perhaps they talk about it.
But for now, brace yourselves, Baylor fans: the Aggies are coming back to Waco.
