I'm beginning the writing of this post as the Baylor Bears are beating the Texas A&M Aggies 61-41. It sounds sooooooo sweet.

Okay, the game is now over. I has all the smiles. This was a huge win for the Bears, for more reasons than just hating that less-relevant school down the river. Johnathan Motley had a big night with 22 points and also set a career high in rebounds with nine. Lester Medford once again showcased a lot offensive talent. Rico Gathers recorded a double-double and was a beast in the paint. DENG DENG recorded a rebound BECAUSE HIS NAME IS DENG DENG AND YOU WILL NOT STOP THAT BEAST FROM GETTING THAT REBOUND. It was an all-around solid night for the entire squad. Check that: it was a DOMINANT night for the entire squad.

Tonight, Baylor had 14 offensive rebounds. Texas A&M had zero. That makes them the first SEC team in 19 years to lay a goose egg in that category.

It didn't start off so well for Baylor. The Ags jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead to begin the game. Baylor couldn't handle the ball and LITERALLY nothing they shot would go in.

From that point on, however, Baylor shot out of a cannon and quickly scraped together a 12-0 run, eventually leading by 7 at the half.  Thereafter, the Bears just pulverized the Aggies for twenty minutes. Baylor's lead floated around 20 for the entirety of the second half, and A&M ended up committing 16 turnovers. It was an absolute beatdown in every sense of the word. They had absolutely no offensive momentum in the final 20.

From a non-statistical standpoint as well, this team looked GREAT tonight. I am struggling to find something to complain about, because this win, especially in the second half, was as clean as they come. Baylor wins this edition of the Battle of the Brazos, 77-63.
