DIRECT MESSAGE TO CURRENT STUDENTS AT BAYLOR UNIVERSITY:
I get it. We're all a little salty right now. Salty at the College Football Playoff selection committee. Salty at Bob Bowlsby. Just plain ol' salty. And on top of that, you're knee deep in studies with finals just days away. What is an angry Baylor Bear to do?
Get to the Ferrell Center tonight. Don't question it. Just do it.
Baylor basketball plays home to Texas A&M tonight at 8:00. It's the first regular season meeting in a major sport between the Bears and Aggies since A&M bolted for the SEC in the summer of 2012. You could make the argument that this is the most exciting non-conference home game for Baylor since then #6 Washington State paid a visit back in November 2007. If you're wondering just how long ago that was, it was the night that Art Briles was introduced to the Baylor crowd for the first time.
The student section has made a HUGE difference in making McLane Stadium one of the toughest places to play in all of college football. It's time that we show some love to our basketball team as well. So take all that #angryturnt you got built up from being left out of the Playoff and take it to the Ferrell Center. In case you haven't been paying attention, Baylor basketball is off to a 7-1 start with wins over Memphis, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. And most of that has been without the services of everyone's favorite Canadian point guard Kenny Chery.
Come help us protect our home court. Come and see the silky smooth skills of Royce O'Neale. Come watch Rico Gathers be a manbeast. Come because it's fun to say #DengDengBaylorGang.
I'll let the hype video take it from here. Coach Drew comes in at around 1:17.
