Junior forward Karim York is only other double digit scorer at 10 PPG while shooting .444 from the 3-point line. He's only shot nine of them, but, well, he's still their most effective outside shooter on the season. Senior guard Tre Hagood is the only other offensively assertive player.
Baylor brings in the nations 8th best offense, per kenpom.com. They are also holding opponents to an impressive 35.1% from 2pt range, good for 20th in the country. Kenny Chery led the Bears in scoring with 20 points against South Carolina, Johnathan Motley added 17 points and 5 rebounds, and Royce O'Neale dished out 7 assists. Deng Deng sat the entire second half of the game while Taurean Prince played 14 of 20 second half minutes. It will be interesting to see how Scott Drew handles the minutes distributions in this game. Well, for the first 15 minutes it will be interesting. Baylor is going to blow the doors off Prairie View A&M, so there should be plenty of minutes for the reserves to get game experience.
#WeirdBasketball Fun Fact: The Panthers have a taller average height than the Bears, measuring at 76.5" and 76.2", respectively. What does that mean for the game? Absolutely nothing, but it's just crazy that a team like Prairie View A&M is taller than Baylor.
