Week 6: Other Games Thread

NCAA Football: Indiana at Penn State Matthew OHaren-USA TODAY Sports

Week 6 brings another exciting slate of games for college football fans. In the Big 12, SEC, and Big 10, there will matchups with playoff implications. Hopefully the Bears can notch a win early and allow the fans to enjoy the rest of the day. I’ve highlighted three games, all from different leagues that will be worth watching.

Texas vs. Oklahoma — It’s frustrating that this rivalry game will be taking place at the same time of the Baylor game. For hyped games like this, sometimes TV will delay kickoff 10-15 minutes; that might give fans a chance to catch glimpses of it between quarters and at halftime. The college football media is ready to jump on the bandwagon of the winner of this game. As always, it will be an early kickoff, 11:00 AM, and will be broadcasted on ABC

Auburn vs. Georgia — It seems like most analysts have the Bulldogs as a clear-cut #2 team behind Alabama. Quarterback JT Daniels looks to be out again and it will be interesting to see how Georgia handles a hostile crowd. This is the SEC game of the week and will televised at 2:30 PM on CBS.

Iowa vs. Penn State — It’s not everyday that you get a top-5 matchup with two Big 10 teams, neither of which being Ohio State. Both Penn State and Iowa have wins over ranked opponents early in the season and looked impressive doing it. Start time is at 3:00 PM on FOX.
