The defending national champions were picked third in the Big 12. Kansas was picked first, and Texas was second.
Coaches can’t vote for their own teams, so Bill Self joined one other coach in voting Texas first. Kansas received eight first place votes.
Matthew Mayer, Flo Thamba and Scott Drew will be at Big 12 Media Days on Wednesday in Kansas City.
