Baylor-Oklahoma State: Three Keys and Prediction; Facebook Live After Game from Stillwater

The Bears look for another Big 12 victory

NCAA Basketball: Oklahoma State at Baylor Raymond Carlin III-USA TODAY Sports

Stillwater, Oklahoma- No. 2 Baylor (13-0, 6-0) takes on Oklahoma State (9-3, 3-3) at 1:00 today in Stillwater. The game is on CBS.

I’ll be at the game today, and I’ll try and Facebook Live before. I may not be able to—I’m unsure how close they’ll have the media bunched—but I’ll Facebook Live about 30 minutes after the game, following the press conference.

Three Keys:

1) Limit Cade Cunningham’s playmaking- This is easier said than done. Cunningham is the favorite to go No. 1 in the draft. Plenty of teams double him, and he’s an adept passer. The Bears need to make sure he doesn’t find open teammates for triples.

2) Get back in transition- Oklahoma State will push the pace in transition, which keyed their victory over Kansas. The Bears, despite having the No. 1 defense, have occasionally lapsed finding shooters in transition. This isn’t the game for that.

3) Take triples- The Cowboys may break out a 2-3 zone. If they do, the Bears should just fire 3-pointers. That worked well against Washington, and it would today too.

Prediction:

I’m assuming Cunningham and Isaac Likekele play today. If they’re out, then I’ll alter this prediction on Twitter. I also can never remember what I say on the podcast. That’s full scrub by me, but I maintain these are my actual predictions. If the podcast prediction is more accurate, I’m not taking credit.

I’ll say that Adam Flagler hits some threes, and the Bears are able to withstand a brief drought from distance to win this one. I’ll take Baylor 74-62.
