Jared Butler, Baylor’s First Team All-Big 12, Third Team All-American and leading scorer, told Trey Wingo he’s returning for his junior season.
@BaylorMBB Jared Butler is opting out of the NBA Draft and will return to Baylor for the 2020/2021 season. Had been considered a late 1st round pick. We talked about the decision this morning. pic.twitter.com/QpD1TekdCh

Butler entered the NBA Draft and had until today to announce his decision. As a man on nearly every draft board, Butler had a reasonable case for returning or going pro.
Butler is now one of four starters back for the 2020-2021 Bears. With his return, Baylor should be ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the preseason; the Bears will also be picked to win the Big 12. Butler will be the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year.
