Baylor fans are waiting on two big decisions that will determine a lot going into the 2020-2021 sports year.
This week is the deadline for Jared Butler to decide if he will be returning to play for the Bears or opting to go pro. Earlier this past week, Baylor got some good news when MaCio Teague withdrew his name from the NBA draft. Butler returning would likely put the Bears as the pre-season conference favorite.
On the football side of things, it looks like the Big 12 will be reaching a decision on the upcoming season soon as well. All other P5 conferences have publicly expressed their plans and some have already made the schedules. The big problem the Big 12 will have is the fact that it can’t play 10 conference games like the other P5 schools can. That leaves limited options. BYU? Keep Louisiana Tech? Or play a conference game twice?
For the first time in a long time, I expect it to be a busy week with Baylor sports news.
