Quickly after news broke of what the Big 12 opening slate of games would be, Baylor has released its full, updated 2020 football schedule:

The first thing worth noting is that Baylor still has not decided on its one non conference opponent. Originally, Baylor was supposed to play Ole Miss, Incarnate Word, and Louisiana Tech. The SEC has gone to a 10 game, conference only schedule, so I’d imagine one of either Incarnate Word or Louisiana Tech will fill that open slot, the administration probably just hasn’t decided which one yet. While the first week remains the same for Baylor, the rest of the schedule is totally mixed up from the original.
Originally, Baylor was going to play Kansas, @ Oklahoma, @ Texas Tech, TCU, @ Texas, Oklahoma State, @ Iowa State, @ West Virginia, and Kansas State in that order. While the home and away games remain the same, the order is now changed. Notably, Oklahoma is the final conference game and West Virginia, a location that can get very cold late in the season, is now Baylor’s second conference game. The home rivalry game against TCU is slated for Halloween, which ought to make for a fun, spooky game if it happens.
Questions about the schedule remain up for debate: Is it harder? Easier? About the same? Is it going to happen at all? What does all this mean for first year head coach, Dave Aranda?
