Baylor Picks Up 2021 OLB Commit, Jackie Marshall

NCAA Football: Texas at Baylor Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Baylor football has landed its latest addition to the 2021 recruiting class with the commitment of outside linebacker Jackie Marshall. Marshall, a three star recruit out of Louisiana, locked in his commitment on Twitter earlier today:

Marshall has played high school football at East St. John in Reserve, Louisiana. If that town rings a bell, Baylor has had quite a pipeline out of the city... in basketball. Rico Gathers and Jared Butler both came out of Reserve. Coach Dave Aranda and staff might be showing the beginnings of a potential Louisiana pipeline for the football team as well, given Aranda’s connections from his time as LSU’s defensive coordinator.

At just under 6’2” and weighing in at 230, Marshall brings another key defensive piece to Aranda’s squad. Marshall chose Baylor over a handful of schools, including Big 12 foes Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Kansas. He also had offers from Michigan State, Arkansas, and Arizona among others.

Sic ‘em Jackie and happy 4th of July to all the ODB readers!
