Baylor baseball completed a sweep of SEC opponents in the 2020 Shriners Baseball Classic, defeating Arkansas 3-2. The bears preceded Sunday’s contest by beating Missouri 4-2 on Friday afternoon, and completing a 6-4 comeback win against LSU on Saturday.
The weekend showcased the Bears ability to use the long-ball as a weapon this season. Baylor hit 6 homers and most them were “no doubters.” The pitching also carried their weight in Houston, giving up only 8 runs in the 3 games played.
The weekend success can help rejuvenate a team and a fan-base that watched the Bears drop a 3-game series to Oral Roberts a week prior.
The Bears will host Texas State on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM.
