Bears Comeback Falls Short: Lose 64-61

Despite an energetic crowd, a fantastic spurt of offense by Matthew Mayer, and Jared Butler doing his best to put the Bears on his back, the Bears came up short at home 64 -61. It was a game where Kansas seemed to have an answer every time Baylor made a run. The Jayhawks were led by Udoka Azubuike, who ended the game with 23 points.

Baylor cut the lead to 1 after a Macio Teague 3-pointer with 16 seconds to play. After two made free throws from Isiah Moss, the Bears had one last chance that fell just short. It was a valiant effort by the Bears, but ultimately the offense was too stagnant for long stretches of the game.

Baylor will continue the quest for a Big 12 Championship on Tuesday night when they host Kansas State at 7:00 PM. The Bears are now currently tied for the 1st place in the Big 12 standings.
