The Big XII and other power 5 conferences begin their bowl games Tuesday afternoon. This is the first time that P5 schools will be going head to head since the 2019 season. For the Big XII it is a chance for redemption after two schools went down to G5 teams early in the year. Those games shaped the conference’s national perception all year. For others, it’s a chance to prove the playoff committee was wrong or build for 2021. I’ll highlight a few bowl games that interest me.
Florida vs. Oklahoma - This could be a preview of the CFP next year. Two exciting offensive coaches going head to head. The game will be at 7:00 on December 30th.
Texas A&M vs UNC - Mack Brown has a chance to beat the Aggies again. And depending on what happens in the CFP semifinals, A&M will be looking to make a statement. Fans of both schools will have to wait until January 2, 2021 @ 7:00.
Clemson vs. Ohio State - A rematch of one of the best semifinal games in the brief history of the CFP. It’s likely a game that will feature the top two quarterbacks taken in the 2021 NFL draft. It will be the primetime game on New Years Day.
