Believe it or not, conference championship games are this weekend, and even with all the chaos, cancellations, postponements, and opt outs, the matchups are as exciting as usual. Of course there are other championship games and regular season games also on schedule, but I’ll highlight the ones that interest me the most.
Oklahoma vs. Iowa State - If you would’ve told me back in August that this would be the matchup in the Big 12 title game I would not have been surprised. But that seemed unlikely in early October. Both teams have overcome a lot to make it to this point. Iowa State had a tough loss to a G5 team in their opening game, and the Sooners started conference play 0-2.
Clemson vs. Notre Dame - This game features a rematch from arguably the most exciting game of the year. Trevor Lawrence will have the chance to show how much of a difference maker he can be,
Alabama vs. Florida - I’ll admit this game lost some luster once the Gators went down last Saturday. I’m excited to see if the Florida offense will be able to move the ball on the Alabama defense.
