The Baylor Bears secured another series win in conference play, this time over the Kansas State Wildcats. The Bears won the first two games, while KState won the final game of the series today.

In the first game, Baylor got down by 3 runs early before rallying to tie. The game got rain delayed in the 6th until the next day. Baylor was able to add one more run on Saturday and win 4-3.

Game two saw the Bears unleash an offensive explosion, winning 11-6. That game secured the series win heading into today.

Baylor just couldn’t get things going on either side today, losing 10-3. They let up a couple 2 out rallies by the Wildcats and stranded a lot of runners. However, today was senior day and one of the cooler things that happened was this message for Josh Bissonette from his dad and Elton John:

If the Texas Tech game continues the way it is, Baylor will have only a half game lead in the Big 12 after this weekend. They’ll need a strong performance in their final conference series, at Oklahoma State, to lock up a regular season conference title. That series starts May 16th after a long finals break.
