Art Briles has been named the head football coach at Mount Vernon High School, per a news release.

Mount Vernon is a 3A high school. The team went 9-5 last season.
Briles spent last season coaching an Italian pro football team in Florence. He has not been a coach in America since Baylor’s Board of Regents voted 24-6 to fire him as Baylor’s head coach in May of 2016. He was fired following Pepper Hamilton’s briefing to the Board of Regents.
