Virginia Beats Texas Tech 85-77 in Classic National Championship Game

The Virginia Cavaliers won the 2019 National Championship game on Monday night. It was the ultimate turnaround season that Disney writers couldn’t script any better.

-How fitting was it that it was defensive play that forced the game into overtime? After making a monumental mistake at the end of regulation, it was the defense that stepped up and made a tremendous block on Tech’s best player.

-Virginia was resilient all night long. They took Tech’s best hay-makers and responded

-Great teams make free throws down the stretch and that’s what Virginia was able to do.

-Good game for college basketball as a whole. Two teams that aren’t traditional basketball schools found a way to captivate an audience for 2 hours and play for a Natty. It gives hope for schools all across the country.

-Texas Tech did the Big 12 and the State of Texas proud tonight.

-From being to the first team to lose to a 16-seed to winning a title. Sports are an incredible thing. Everybody loves a great redemption story.
