Baylor Wide Receiver Jalen Hurd was drafted yesterday in the 3rd round of the NFL draft by the San Fransisco 49ers.
Given his past as a 5* RB who transferred mid-season, Hurd was always going to be a polarizing and enigmatic prospect. But he proved that he is a capable slot WR.

He is never going to be a deep threat, but at 6’5 with a strong frame, the 49ers should use him as a flex weapon who can be a reliable chain-mover.
Hurd described himself as “the most versatile player to come out of the draft in the past 15-20 years.” I know he’ll have a lot of Baylor fans behind him.
The Bears could have a couple more players drafted, probably CB Derrek Thomas or DE Greg Roberts.
