9-3 was the biggest lead Baylor would have all night. Texas Tech started coming back with a vengeance in the bottom of the 5th, scoring 4 runs all off of a two out rally. With the score at 9-7, Tech added yet another run in the bottom of the 6th to make it 9-8. Baylor’s Cole Harring responded with the Bears’ third home run of the game, putting Baylor up 10-8:

Texas Tech tied the game up in the bottom of the 8th with a pair of runs. Baylor couldn’t take the lead in the top of the 9th. Likewise, Tech struck out twice in a row with one out to strand a runner in the bottom of the 9th leading to extra innings. Neither team got anything going in the 10th and Baylor was able to score a run in the 11th off a couple hits, putting them up 11-10. Baylor walked the leadoff runner for Tech in the bottom of the 11th. However, a sac bunt, a pop up, and a strikeout left the runner stranded and got the Bears a great conference road win over a ranked foe.

The Bears will attempt to clinch the series tonight (Friday) at 6:30 PM CT. You can watch the game on FS1. Sic ‘em Baylor Baseball!
