IT. IS. TIME.
There’s nothing else to say. It’s time. This is it.
Your undefeated, 12th-ranked, surviving and advancing Baylor Bears play easily the biggest game of the Matt Rhule era and one of the top 5 most pivotal matchups in program history.
Baylor. Oklahoma. 6:30pm on ESPN. College Gameday back on the Brazos.
Life doesn’t give you a whole lot of chances to be legendary. This is one of ours. That’s right, OURS. Not just the guys strapping up the shoulders pads and going out there. It’s bigger than that. It’s bigger than the scoreboard. It’s bigger than Matt Rhule. It’s bigger than the Big 12 championship game. It’s bigger than College Gameday. It’s bigger than Chip and Joanna. It’s bigger than the College Football Playoff rankings. It’s bigger than hot takes about Art Briles and Title IX. This is about Baylor and about us defining what that means.
Baylor hasn’t stayed around since 1845 by listening to what everybody else says we are and believing them. Only we can decide what it means to be a Baylor Bear. On the field, in the stands, on Gameday signs, on Twitter, at the tailgate, in the line at Magnolia, at watch parties around the country. It all counts. It all matters. And tomorrow is the biggest stage we’ve had in a long time from which to show what we’re about. Me and you can’t will the team to a win, but win or lose we can make a statement.
Bring the fire. Show em who we are. Sic Em. And above all get #ReadyForOU.
