Baylor Beats Oklahoma by 30

NCAA Basketball: Baylor at Oklahoma Rob Ferguson-USA TODAY Sports

Another Monday night conference road game ends up in Baylor’s favor. The Bears beat the Sooners 77-47 in Norman, Oklahoma. Baylor improved to 5-2 in conference play and for at least one night will be tied for first place in the Big 12. It was the most complete game that Baylor has played all year.

- Jared Butler is the best play-making PG Baylor has had in a long time. His court vision is as good as I’ve seen from a freshman. Earlier in the year coach Drew was going to him in crunch-time and we are starting to see why. He hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key without any hesitation. Watch out if he starts developing a strong scoring game as well.

- Matthew Mayer is not your typical stretch 4. He is a complete play-maker. He can shoot, pass, rebound, and handle the ball very well for a guy with his height. It’s been great to see him not force plays as much.

- Baylor outplayed Oklahoma in every facet of the game. Give credit to our big men for contesting every shot

- Quick shout out to the two dozen or so fans behind our bench. Looked great on TV and the team seemed to feeding off their energy

Baylor will host TCU on Saturday at 7:00 PM.
