College Football Gambling Picks: Week One

Picks!

NCAA Football: CFP National Championship-Alabama Hotel Arrival Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

Florida Atlantic (+21) v. Oklahoma- Game one for Kyler Murray and a quality Florida Atlantic roster makes this a closer Oklahoma win.

Maryland (+10) v. Texas- The Longhorns should blow out a Maryland program that is facing serious program issues. Prepare to hear Texas is back.

Arizona (-13.5) v. BYU- Khalil Tate is excellent, and BYU hasn’t been as good lately.

Auburn (-3) v. Washington- Auburn has too much talent, and Jake Browning can’t advance the ball against Auburn’s strong defensive line.

Ole Miss (+2.5) v. Texas Tech- Kliff Kingsbury needs this game, as he probably needs to win at least seven games to keep his job. But the Red Raiders’ defense—as it has so often—costs them.

Tennessee (+9.5) v. West Virginia- I’m not as sold on West Virginia, but I wouldn’t buy anything Tennessee this season. West Virginia by 15+.

Cal (-7) v. North Carolina- The Tar Heels seem due for a disastrous season, and the end of the Larry Fedora era. Cal isn’t great, so this is a risky bet.

Michigan (-1) v. Notre Dame- With a new quarterback, and Notre Dame’s losses on the offensive line, I’m surprised some books list this a pick ‘em. Michigan becomes a trendy playoff pick after this game.

Alabama (-25.5) v. Louisville- This is a gigantic line. Alabama covers. With both quarterbacks still trying to win the starting job, Alabama wins in a massive blowout.
