A source has informed me that Jake Lindsey will not play during the 2018-2019 season. He will take a medical redshirt.
Lindsey will remain on the roster. But he will not play this season. Lindsey received his Baylor degree in August.
Lindsey started most of Baylor’s games down the stretch last season, which coincided with a late run by the Bears and major upset against Kansas, the school’s first victory over Kansas since 2013. He’s also been a rotation player the last three seasons, including during the 2016-2017 season when Baylor earned the school’s first No. 1 ranking and made the Sweet 16. He’s also been a vital defensive piece on the two best Baylor defenses of the Scott Drew era.
