Baylor Lady Bears Release 2018 Non-Conference Basketball Schedule

Baylor Women’s Basketball Head Coach Kim Mulkey must be feeling pretty confident in this upcoming season’s squad because we haven’t seen such high profile teams on the non-conference schedule since the Britney Griner heydays. In 2011, the year the Lady Bears went 40-0, they had UConn (#2), Tennessee(#6), Notre Dame (#2) and UCLA (#22) on the non-conference schedule. The next season highlighted Notre Dame, Stanford, Tennessee and Kentucky (all ranked in the top ten).

This year’s schedule includes UConn and South Carolina, both of which should be in the Top 5 again. South Carolina (final ranking #6) lost to UConn in the Albany Reginal Final and UConn (final ranking#3) lost in the Final Four to eventual National Champ Notre Dame. Also included in this years schedule are Stanford (final ranking #13), Arizona State, Nicholls State, Saint Francis, and South Dakota State, each of which also saw post season play in the NCAA Tournament.

Kalani Brown and Lauren Cox will be back to lock down the high low posts Add in graduate transfer Chloe Jackson and we find the Lady Bears with a highly talented and experienced core. Also returning are Juicy Landrum, Alexis Morris, Didi Richards, Moon Ursin and Trinity Oliver. Alexis Morris was Baylor’s starting point guard through the entirety of post season play. But wait, that’s not all, four of Baylor’s fab five incoming freshmen played together on the same McDonald’s All American Team this year, and they won!
