Sorry this post is late folks, in case you haven’t heard there’s a new Star Wars film that came out tonight and that cut me off right at the end of the game.

That aside, the #5 seed Bears won in dominating fashion, taking down the #8 seed Jayhawks 10-5.

The scoring started in the first inning where the Bears scored two runs, but left the bases loaded. A missed opportunity but it ultimately wouldn’t matter. Kansas added a run in the second before the Bears added two in the bottom of the second to make it 4-1. Baylor added another two runs in the bottom of the third off a two run homer by Josh Bissonette:

However, the Bears weren’t done there in the third. They added another 2 run homer behind the batting power of Nick Loftin to make it 8-1:

Surely that was how the scoring in the third inning ended? Wrong. The Bears got a THIRD two run homer in one inning behind Shea Langeliers to make the score 10-1:

Basketball coach Scott Drew knew the Bears were tearing up Kansas:

However, Baylor stopped its scoring there and allowed Kansas to score 4 runs in the 8th to make the game 10-5, which would ultimately be the final score. The Bears move on in the winners’ bracket of the tournament, where they will rematch either KU or OU Saturday at 9 AM. Sic ‘em Baylor Baseball!
