Scott Drew has added another key piece to the Baylor Bears basketball roster, with JUCO shooting guard Devonte Bandoo signing with the Bears today. Bandoo played JUCO ball at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
Bandoo had other strong offers from Kansas State, Minnesota, and South Carolina. Bandoo stands at 6’3” and brings a strong outside shooting game, averaging 43.8% from deep. His other stats are equally impressive, averaging 16.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, and 2.9 apg.

With both Manu Lecomte and Nuni Omot graduating, the addition of another strong guard definitely helps shore up the position for the Bears. Bandoo is the 4th member of the 2018 recruiting class, with one spot left to fill. Since Bandoo is a JUCO transfer, he will be immediately eligible to play this coming season, which is a huge plus for the Bears’ hopes of making it back to the NCAA tournament after just missing this past year.
Sic ‘em Devonte!
