Seniors Dekeiya Cohen and Kristy Wallace are gone but the Baylor Lady Bears look to be a top contender again next season as they fill in the leadership and experience gap with graduate transfer Chloe Jackson.

Baylor Ranked at No. 3

In the latest ESPN Way Too Early Top 25 Rankings for 2018-2019, Baylor is listed at No. 3.

An overlooked part of the Lady Bears’ 33-2 season was that they were a pretty young team. Kristy Wallace and Dekeiya Cohen were the only seniors on the roster. Frontcourt duo Kalani Brown and Lauren Cox are back to lead the way, and sophomore-to-be Alexis Morris proved to be a more than capable point guard when she took over following an injury to Wallace.

That was two weeks before Chloe Jackson committed to Baylor for her senior season.

The Fierce Five

Also prior to landing Jackson, Baylor had already landed the nation’s top 2018 recruiting class.
