It was over when the Oregon State Beavers left the court at half time noticeably fatigued with anguish written on their faces as they trailed Baylor 31-29 having once lead in the second quarter by as much as six points. That’s what the story line shoud have read. Instead, something happened at half time which returned a refreshed and determined Beaver squad to floor at the start of the third quarter.
The lead went back and forth throughout the entirety of the third quarter but when the Buzzer sounded at the end of the third the Beavers lead by two points and would never surrender the lead for the rest of the game. Final Oregon State 72 - 67 Baylor.
Senior Dekeiya Cohen ended her career at Baylor shooting 66% in the game for 12 points. The Lady Bears as a team were held to less than 40% (17.6% from three point - 3 of 17).
For the first time this year, the Lady Bears did not dominate the boards. Rebounds were split equally between the two teams at 38 rebounds each.
Oregon State managed 45.3% shooting against Baylor with 9 made threes.
Baylor will return four starters for the 2018-2019 season plus the number one recruiting class in the nation.
