After splitting Thursday’s picks, let’s do better today. As always, I don’t actually bet these, so I have no skin in the game.
Villanova (-5) v. West Virginia- I think Villanova goes wild from three and wins, but I’ve been awful at predicting West Virginia games this year.
Texas Tech (+1.5) v. Purdue- The Red Raiders defend Carsen Edwards and company well and join Kansas State in the Elite Eight.
Duke (-11.5) v. Syracuse- Duke’s size, athleticism and shooting on the wings will be too much. Syracuse might get lucky and catch another better team shooting poorly, but eventually luck runs out.
Kansas (-4) v. Clemson- Elijah Thomas could be a problem, especially in non-Udoka Azubuike minutes. The Jayhawks have much better guards and win fairly easily.
