Lady Bears Basketball
Visit Our Daily Bears: NCAA Women’s Tournament Central (click here), as the Lady Bears begin tournament play against Grambling State in a first round home game at 6:30 PM CT this evening inside the Ferrell Center. The Lady Bears’ first round game begins 30-minutes following the conclusion of the 4 p.m. first round game between seventh-seeded Michigan and 11th-seeded Northern Colorado, also at the Ferrell Center. One ticket gains access to both games. You can watch the game on ESPN2 but if at all possible, get on down to the Ferrell Center as this is the Lady Bears penultimate home game for 2017/2018 (Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise). You can listen to the game on the Baylor/IMG Sports Network and KRZI/ESPN 1660AM and 99.1FM.

The 38th-ranked Bears meet fourth-ranked Pepperdine at 8 p.m. (CT) on Friday, March 16 and USC at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 17.

Suspensions loom over football spring practice | The Baylor Lariat, Rhule said the football team and university are being transparent and not covering anything up in order to create a better culture.
“You can either hide it from all you guys or you can be very transparent about things,” Rhule said. “When things have happened with our players we’ve tried to deal with it the right way. There’s a bad culture when kids do bad things and grown-ups hide them. There’s no hiding here.”
Following the news about the suspensions and in response to the most recent sexual assault investigation, Baylor President Dr. Linda Livingstone released the following statement:
“Baylor University takes any allegation of sexual assault seriously. The University’s new leadership team is unwavering in our commitment to follow our well-documented Title IX policy and procedures in regards to reporting and responding to incidents of sexual assault.”
“The responsibility of responding to alleged incidents of sexual violence does not rest solely in the hands of any specific individual or unit. It is a University response dictated by our Title IX policy. Baylor University remains committed to providing for the safety and security of our campus community.”
