Career games from sophomore guard Juicy Landrum and senior forward Dekeiya Cohen were able to keep No. 3 Baylor (21-1, 11-0) undefeated in conference play.
Landrum, who made her first start of the season, led the way with 20 points on eight of 10 shooting. Senior guard Kristy Wallace tallied 16 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Junior center Kalani Brown added 11 points and seven boards of her own.
Baylor shot 52 percent from the field, drilling eight of 15 tries from deep. The Lady Bears held the Lady Raiders to just 19 makes, shooting a poor 27 percent from the floor.

Strong defense helps Bears beat Iowa State | The Baylor Lariat, The Baylor men’s basketball team ended its four-game losing streak Saturday in the Ferrell Center with an 81-67 win over Iowa State.
The Bears (13-10, 3-7) went back and forth with the Cyclones (12-10, 3-7) in the first half and entered the second trailing 32-30 before breaking away with a 15-point run in just under two minutes, securing their first win since Jan. 15.
Senior forward Terry Matson led the Bears in scoring with 23 points, while senior forward Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. was the only Baylor player to record a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. This was Lual-Acuil’s tenth double-double of the season.
The Bear’s 42 rebounds definitely had an affect on their win, 28 of those rebounds being on the defensive end. Although Iowa State dominated the Bears in three-pointers with nine to the Bears’ two, the Cyclones could not overcome Baylor’s 52 points in the paint.
“We needed a win, and it was a great defensive effort by our guys to hold Iowa State, one of the better teams offensively in the country, to 34 percent and 67 points,” said Baylor head coach Scott Drew. “In this league, you can play well and it’s not good enough.”

Equestrian picks up big win over No. 5 Auburn | The Baylor Lariat, The No. 8 Baylor equestrian team defeated No. 5 Auburn 9-8 Friday at home in a rematch from this past fall.
Baylor traveled to Auburn in October and fell to the Tigers 15-4. This match was an opportunity for Baylor to avenge that rode loss and pick up a big win over a highly-ranked opponent.
Head coach Casie Maxwell said the match all came down to the last ride.
“There was an opportunity about half way through where we were down by a couple of points that we could have started to kind of fall under a little bit, but we didn’t,” Maxwell said. “I mean, we pushed and it came down to the last ride and I think that is really huge.”
