Baylor-Arizona: Keys to Game and Prediction

Baylor could sure use this one

NCAA Basketball: Baylor at Wichita State Peter G. Aiken

Baylor battles Arizona at 10:00 in Tuscon. The game airs on ESPN2.

Here are three keys for the Bears:

*3-point shooting: Baylor has been abysmal from deep—nailing just 30.1% of their shots. That mark ranks 289th nationally. Against a good Arizona team, Baylor has to make a major jump.

*Foul trouble: Arizona hasn’t been dominant at getting to the line. The Wildcats rank just 140th in that category. But Baylor’s defense is 294th in free throw rate. Arizona ranks 26th in free throw percentage, so they’ll make Baylor pay at the line.

*Tristan Clark going off: Arizona hasn’t done well defending inside the arc. They’re sub 200 in both 2-point defense and block percentage. Clark has struggled to get the ball inside.

Not many teams win at Arizona. Baylor hasn’t quite figured things out offensively, and this is a tough team to start figuring it out against.

While I hope to be wrong, I have Arizona winning 68-60.

Record ATS: 2-2

Overall: 6-2
