Iowa State Opens 14.5 Point Favorite Against Baylor

Maybe a little high, but also understandable

NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at Baylor Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Fresh off a big win, Vegas still thinks Baylor is a big underdog in their next game. Baylor opened as a 14.5 point underdog against Iowa State. The game is at 2:30 on Saturday in Ames and airs on FS1.

That line is fairly explainable. Baylor was blown out in Morgantown and crushed in Norman. Iowa State has played well lately, and Baylor would lose a majority of games against the Cyclones.

Baylor might have some hope of keeping it closer. The Bears nearly beat Texas in Austin. This team just mounted an impressive comeback against Oklahoma State, and the Big 12 has been unpredictable.

The Bears don’t have to win this game to go bowling. But with how weird this league has been, it’d be nice to be playing for a better bowl and not just a bowl.
