The Baylor Men’s Basketball squad took down George Mason in their consolation game at the Emerald Coast Classic. The Bears only led by 1 at halftime before breaking it open in the second half, pushing their lead up to as much as 14.
While King McClure was relatively quiet in yesterday’s loss to Ole Miss, he had a major impact on today’s game. McClure got a double double, accounting for 27 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Makai Mason also had a strong showing as the only other Bear in double figures, scoring 18 points.
Baylor’s shooting percentage wasn’t great, resting at 38.9%. But the Bears defense held George Mason to an even lower percentage at 36.7%. While the Baylor 3 point percentage wasn’t great at 23.1%, it was an improvement over yesterday’s game.
The Bears travel home for their next game against South Dakota on Tuesday. Sic ‘em!
