The Big 12 has a very slim schedule this weekend as 6 teams are on a bye week. Here are the two games that are going down this Saturday.
#9 Oklahoma @ TCU
Saturday, October 20th 11:00 AM CT, ABC
This game is a rematch from last year’s conference championship game, but both teams seem to have fallen off some from that point. #9 Oklahoma (5-1) lost in a shootout against Texas two weeks ago before entering a bye week this past week. TCU (3-3) has not been able to find any sort of offensive footing, a point proven in their 17-14 home loss to Texas Tech last week. While Oklahoma may be shakier than usual on the defensive side of the ball, thanks to the firing of defensive coordinator Mike Stoops, they are still far and away the better team in this game.
42-10 Oklahoma
Kansas @ Texas Tech
Saturday, October 20th 2:30 PM CT, FS1
Kansas (2-4) has fallen into its annual loss spiral. While they did put up a valiant effort against West Virginia, they are now on a three game losing streak. Texas Tech (4-2), on the other hand, is in a very strange spot. Their offense has been bad while injured QB Alan Bowman has been sidelined. Meanwhile, their defense has stepped up big, helping secure a low scoring win over TCU last weekend. Even with a limited offense, Tech should be able to handle the Jayhawks.
45-24 Texas Tech
I told you it was a slim slate. This is probably the best weekend for Big 12 football fans to go have some family time, do some chores around the house, etc.
