Baylor Lady Bears Down Third Straight Top 25 Women’s Basketball Team Oklahoma State 77-64

Baylor pulls away late to end Cowgirl threat in tough physical match-up.

NCAA Womens Basketball: Texas at Baylor Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

The game was over when Natalie Chou made her second three pointer giving Baylor a comfortable 12 point lead with 4:12 left in the game. When Oklahoma State’s Kaylee Jensen fouled out with 3:44 left, the game was sealed and delivered as the Bears cruised to a 13 point victory.

This was a tough physical game between the two teams with more Baylor players being knocked to floor than any other game this year. In one tie up on the floor, both players hands firmly on the ball, Kaylee Jensen, lying on her back, actually slung Kristy Wallace up and over her body with Kristy hanging on to the ball and trailing. Kristy never let go of the ball until after the whistle, despite bouncing on the floor at the end of being slung. Kalani Brown got knocked down so hard and often that she had to wear braces on both knees before the night was through.

Lauren Cox led the Lady Bears in scoring with 23 points followed by Brown with 19 and Dekeiya Cohen with 15. Kalani Brown had 11 rebounds for another double double. Kristy Wallace had 9 assists.

Sic ‘em Lady Bears!
