Baylor has landed the No. 2 ranked junior college offensive guard, and a former 4-star prospect and Oklahoma commitment coming out of high school, Johncarlo Valentin. The Bears secured him after a late push from Texas.
Colt Barber of SicEm365 had this nugget:
Baylor's coaching staff has known Johncarlo Valentin dating back to his time in high school in Philly. That relationship was extremely strong.

Valentin is a giant addition. With Jake Fruhmorgen, a former Clemson starter, also eligible next season, the Bear’s offensive line—possibly their weakest position last season—should be significantly better. Valentin played junior college ball the last two seasons.
The Bears beat out a host of schools for Valentin. During his official visit to Baylor, Texas offered him. He also had offers from Tennessee, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.
