Baylor Cross Country and Volleyball came away with wins Saturday. Football, well, trust the process.

Baylor fans disappointed but see reasons for hope after loss to Duke, DieHards, Baylor has yet to win a game in 2017, but fans are seeing improvement from the Bears. Matt Rhule's squad lost 34-20 to Duke to fall to 0-3.

Football Drops 34-20 Decision at Duke - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, Shaun Wilson had two long touchdown runs to lead Duke past Baylor 34-20 on Saturday. Wilson rushed for 176 yards and scored on runs of 50 and 65 yards to help the Blue Devils (3-0) open with three consecutive victories for just the second time since 1994.

Volleyball Brings Baylor Some Redemption over UTSA.

VB Finishes Strong at Jason's Deli Baylor Classic - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, Baylor volleyball finished out the non-conference schedule with five straight wins as the Bears (10-3) went 2-0 in the final day of the Jason's Deli Baylor Classic, sweeping St. John's and defeating UTSA in four sets Saturday at the Ferrell Center.

Volleyball knocks off St. John’s, UTSA to sweep Jason’s Deli Baylor Classic | The Baylor Lariat, Baylor volleyball (10-3) swept St. John’s (8-6) in its second match of the Jason’s Deli Baylor Classic, winning in straight sets 25-20, 25-13, 25-21.

Senior outside hitter Katie Staiger once again led the Bears offensively with 20 kills.

The end of the first match also saw Staiger break Baylor’s all-time kills record in the rally scoring era. The record was originally 1,547 set by Katie Sanders (2006-09). Staiger only needed 12 kills to break the record and after scoring 20 in the first match, got her the record.

Cross Country

Cross Country Wins Ken Garland Invitational - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, Baylor cross country was crowned the Ken Garland Invitational team champion on both the men and women’s sides Saturday morning at Discovery Park, hosted by North Texas.

Golf

Mens Golf in Second Place at Fighting Illini Invite - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, Baylor men’s golf is in second place with a two-round score of 3-over-par 563 at the Fighting Illini Invitational. The Bears shot 3-over 283 in Saturday’s second round at Olympia Fields, and they’ll enter Sunday’s final round three shots back of the lead.

Tennis

MTs Frantzen Leads Day Two of Napa Valley Tennis Classic - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, Baylor men’s tennis sophomore Constantin Frantzen went 2-0 at day two of the Napa Valley Tennis Classic at Meadowood Napa Valley Resort.

Soccer

Soccer Faces SMU in Final Nonconference Tune-up - Baylor University Official Athletic Site, WACO, Texas – Baylor soccer (5-1-1) takes on the SMU Mustangs (3-1-2) on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 8:30 p.m. at Westcott Field.
