Matt Rhule praised Jalen Hurd’s effort. From Nick Cole of SEC Country:
On Tuesday, Baylor coach Matt Rhule left some Vols fans collectively scratching their heads when he praised the leadership qualities of Hurd.
Ryan Miller is now a starting offensive lineman. From Shehan Jeyarajah of Big 12 Diehards:
Freshman offensive lineman Ryan Miller, who just enrolled this summer, is currently slotted into the starting lineup at center, according to a report from ESPN Central Texas.
As part of the move, Sam Tecklenburg moved from center to left guard. It also likely means Tyrae Simmons will move to a reserve role.
Rhule: "Ira Lewis is a guy that just always kind of stands out to me. He's really transformed his body and has become a really good player."

Brady Vaderman of Big 12 Diehards has a look at Charlie Brewer:
Brewer was named a 2017 true freshman to watch by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football after leading Lake Travis to a Texas 6A state title a year ago.
While sophomore Zach Smith, who took over for Russell after a season-ending injury a year ago, looks to be the front-runner to nab the starting job come September, Brewer could give him a run for his money.
Matt Rhule wants to see more from the offensive. John Werner of the Waco Tribune-Herald notes:
“Practice was not very good today,” Rhule said. “It was a soft football team out there. Camp has been hard and today was the last day of classes. There were a bunch of guys feeling sorry for themselves. Overall the lack of leadership on offense really showed itself today.”
