World University Games

Wallace Guides Australia to World University Games Win, Baylor women’s basketball senior Kristy Wallace opened 2017 World University Games action with Australia’s Emerging Opals early Monday morning. Starting at guard, Wallace scored five points, pulled down two rebounds and distributed four assists to help Australia secure a 78-71 victory over Lithuania.

Emerging Opals Move to 2-0 Tuesday, Baylor senior Kristy Wallace and the Emerging Opals moved to 2-0 in Group D of the 2017 World University Games with a 69-47 victory against Argentina early Tuesday morning inside University Taipei Tianmu Gymnasium.

Equestrian Announces 2017-18 Schedule, Baylor equestrian released its 11-meet schedule for the 2017-18 season, announced Monday by first-year head coach Casie Maxwell.

Basketball

Jerome Tang Promoted to MBB Associate Head Coach, Baylor men’s basketball head coach Scott Drew announced Tuesday that Jerome Tang has been promoted to associate head coach. Tang is entering his 15th season as an assistant on Drew’s staff.

Baylor head football coach Matt Rhule is in no rush to bring injured sophomore safeties Henry Black and Rajah Preciado back onto the field.

For Rhule, it provides an opportunity for others, most notably walk-ons, to get legitimate minutes.

“We’re being very cautious with Henry [Black] and Rajah [Preciado],” Rhule said. “I’d probably say another week to two weeks to three weeks. We have some wonderful non-scholarship safeties.”
