Let’s all hope for good news soon:

Baylor’s credit rating remains strong. From Cassie Smith of the Waco Tribune-Herald:

Baylor University for the second year in a row received a strong short- and long-term debt credit rating for bonds issued to build McLane Stadium and its residence halls.

Shehan Jeyarajah of Baylor Die Hards discusses Baylor’s offense:

Rather than focus on posting video game numbers and basketball-level point totals, new head coach Matt Rhule has a clear set of benchmarks for his offense.

Regardless of formation, Rhule wants to reach 200 rushing yards per game, 45 percent on third-down conversions and 70 percent on red-zone touchdowns.

John Werner of the Waco Tribune-Herald previews Baylor’s wide receivers:

But that doesn’t mean the Bears’ cupboard is bare. With sophomore receivers like Denzel Mims, Tony Nicholson, Blake Lynch, Pooh Stricklin and Jared Atkinson joining junior Chris Platt, this group of Baylor receivers is deep and talented and ready to show they can be highly productive....

Greg Powers of Scout looks at Tommy Bush—one of Baylor’s top remaining targets:

On Thursday, Bush confirmed that he had set up and locked in one of his five official visits. He will be traveling to Lincoln, Neb. to check out the Huskers for one of its top tilts of the season.

Eddie Sefko of DallasNews.com evaluates Johnathan Motley:

Contract status: He signed a two-way contract, which allows him to play a maximum of 45 days with the Mavericks and spend the rest of the time with the G-League Texas Legends in Frisco. He'll earn the NBA minimum for his time with Mavericks, about $4,500 per day. And he'll earn the G-League maximum of $75,000 while with the Legends. Best case scenario is he makes about $280,000.

BNT will have the mailbag today!
