It rained in Kansas City on the 4th, so I put together some charts on Baylor basketball (what a wild day). I’ll have some longer pieces on basketball and football up on the website soon.

Football:
Tim Watkins of Baylor Scout (Bears Illustrated) notes a Vegas Insider sets Baylor’s over/under at eight wins (free):
The Vegas odds seem higher than most national predictions made for the Bears so far this year, with most calling between 5 and 7 wins. Athlon has the Bears at 6 wins, just 3-6 in Big 12 play. SBNation's Bill Connelly has the Bears as a third tier Big 12 team, but his S&P+ rankings have them at over 7 wins. SportsIllustrated has the Bears ranked 7th in their preseason look, but no record is given.
Adam Grosbard of Dallasnews.com has a look at Baylor’s linebacker corps:
Overall outlook: Baylor has a solid leader in Young who was arguable the team's best defender last season. He is surrounded by several talented underclassmen, but underclassmen nonetheless. A strong spring game from the likes of Williams or Davis could go a long way to dissuade any concerns about this position moving forward in 2017 for Baylor.
Gabe Brooks of Scout says that Bralen Taylor’s commitment appears solid (free):
Cuero (Texas) 2018 three-star tight end Bralen Taylor committed June 4 to the Baylor Bears and told Scout at the Adidas Texas 7-on-7 Championships that he remains solid to BU.
Richard Rodgers of Fansided believes Bryce Petty needs a big training camp:
Now as Petty’s heading into his third training camp with the Jets, this is almost certainly his last opportunity to stick with the team. It’s a very good opportunity though, as his competition consists of a second-year player seeing his first significant action.
Josh Edwards of Browns247 has a piece about Corey Coleman (free):
Cleveland needs players to make up for a lack of production. Coleman is at the forefront of candidates.
