Royce O’Neale is now an NBA player. He signed a 3 year deal with the Utah Jazz and will be teammates with another former Bear, Ekpe Udoh. Both men were signed by Dennis Lindsey, a former Bear and the father of Jake Lindsey.

O’Neale played for Baylor for two seasons, after transferring from Denver. He grew up with Cory Jefferson in Killeen, Texas and started alongside his former teammate on Baylor’s 2014 Sweet 16 team. The next season, O’Neale was a starter and do it all player as the Bears earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He shot 44% from 3-point range as a senior and was a vital ball-handler and defender.

After a strong summer with the Boston Celtics following his graduation from Baylor, O’Neale played overseas the last two seasons. But with his skills as a sharpshooting wing, he fits well in the modern NBA. Now he’ll get a chance to show it.
