Baylor basketball has landed Matthew Mayer, a 2018 small forward from Austin. He’s Rival’s No. 76 player in the 2018 class and a 4-star prospect.
Mayer is a big addition for the Bears. The 2018 class will have to replace Manu Lecomte, Jo Lual-Acuil, Terry Maston and Nuni Omot. Baylor needs to reload, and they’ve landed an excellent player.
Mayer can play multiple positions, but I’d expect him to get the majority of minutes at small forward. He does a nice job putting the ball on the floor and is a quick defender.
The rising senior had offers from all over, including Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. But he will be a Bear. Sic ‘Em!
