Baylor has secured the commitment of 2018 wide receiver Kalon Barnes. Barnes attends Silsbee and is a top 400 recruit on 247.

Barnes had 34 receptions for 683 yards and 8 touchdowns last season. He’s a good athlete with a solid vertical leap—another member of what’s been dubbed #BFast.
The Bears beat out several schools to land Barnes. Those schools include: Georgia, Missouri, Texas Tech and Arizona.
Baylor now has 11 commitments for the 2018 recruiting class. Baylor will likely use many scholarships this off-season, so this is far from the end of the group. But the first 11 commitments are the foundation for an excellent 2018 class.
