Football Recruiting:
Baylor football had an awesome Saturday. The program landed four new commitments.
First was Mark Milton. He’s a defensive back from Clear Brook High School, and he can really move:

Then came JT Woods. He’s a safety and had offers from Yale, Columbia and the service academies. He’s smart. He’s fast. He’s a Bear:

The day finished with Delarrin Turner-Yell—a safety from Hempstead. He picked Baylor over Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa:

Basketball Recruiting:
Mathew Mayer, a top 100 247 player in the 2018 class, has a great interview with Kevin Flaherty of 247 (free):
Which team took him under his wing? That would be Baylor.
“The guys at Baylor, Jake Lindsey and King McClure and Ish Wainwright were super nice to me and just with me the whole time,” Mayer said. “It was great.”
Ja’Vonte Smart, a top five point guard in the 2018 class listed Baylor as one of the schools recruiting him the hardest. Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader had this:
He mentioned Kansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Florida State and Baylor as other schools that have been recruiting him the hardest.
And, of course, there’s Louisiana State, the hometown school.
